Contract Delivery Methods

Hill Bros. has experience with a wide variety of contracting methods. Depending on your project requirements, we can give you a bid  based on delivery methods including:

  • Guaranteed maximum price (GMP)
  • Lump sum
  • Design-build
  • Competitive bid

As the design and bid come together, we work closely with your design team to achieve an optimal balance of design, function, and cost. If you are in need of architectural and engineering services, we can help you select the best team possible from the many design professionals we work with.

Preconstruction Planning and Scheduling

Up-front planning keeps your project running smoothly after construction begins. We work with you throughout design and preconstruction to develop detailed budgets and schedules to keep the project on track through completion. This includes value engineering, determining the most efficient means of production, negotiating with suppliers on your behalf and creating detailed schedules for your review and approval.

Construction Phase

Keeping your project on track is of utmost importance. We proactively identify issues and provide your team with solutions to avoid delays and cost overruns. By building your project with attention to detail, thoroughness and open communication, you will have a quality project delivered to you on time and on budget.

As part of our commitment to keep your project within budget, Hill Bros. includes all expected costs in our estimates and original contract amount. As a result, change orders average less than 3% of our final contract amounts.

In order to keep all parties updated on critical jobsite issues, Hill Bros. coordinates regular project meetings with your team.

Project Management Team

With over 85 years of combined construction experience, our team is well qualified to deliver a quality project that is on time and within budget. In addition, a highly qualified office staff will ensure compliance with all contract requirements and oversee financial controls.

Quality Control

Hill Bros. maintains a high standard of quality on all of our projects. One of our owners will personally oversee the quality control on your project.

Job Site Cleanliness

We are experts in renovating existing spaces and have worked in occupied hospitals, assisted living facilities and milling operations. We are diligent in keeping our job sites neat and orderly. Hill Bros. will ensure your job site is kept clean and well organized at all times.

Safety

Hill Bros. has a robust safety program in place to prevent worksite accidents. All managers are required to complete OSHA 30-hour certification. In addition, all front line supervisors, workers and subcontractors must abide by our safety program and standards. As a result of our safe work practices, Hill Bros. has not had any lost time accidents in the past five years.
